Telepractice Office Must-Haves & Splurges
For many years I just made due with what I had around the house to set up my office. But no longer! If you sit all day, as I do, consider both function and comfort to make your day go smoother. I have a curated list of items that I use every and some splurges that take my comfort to a new level.

I love this office chair for its movable arms and lumbar support and affordability! I replaced the standard caster for rollerblade casters that roll easily on carpet and hardwood but aren’t “slippy” like some wheels. The replacement casters are universal and will fit on a variety of chairs and pop into place.
Memory foam chair pad — because…you sit all day!
Computer(s) of your choice — I depend on the iMac and iPad for day-to-day telepractice. I add my laptop when I am working on courses or developing materials.
Adjustable and travel-ready laptop stand. Up to 12” adjustable iPad/iPhone stand.
Studio light that clamps onto my desk/table — adjustable brightness and color tones and controlled by a remote so it’s easy to adjust the light.
Powered USB Hub to plug in all of my peripherals without over-taxing the back of my iMac.
Multi-function Box/ Portable Mobile Phone Holder that I can use as a document camera, extra light, and as a video filming device with remote control. It charges via a USB-C cable that I keep plugged into the USB Hub.
Wi-fi enabled, 3-in-one printer for printing, copying scanning, faxing(if you have a landline). My printer is currently 9 years old and going strong. I researched current Canon all-in-printers and have a link below for it.
A laptop stand, adjustable holds a variety of laptop brands and sizes. Portable, easy to pack and take with you.
Another stand for iPhone, a gooseneck mount that clamps onto the desk.
Double-sided greenscreen with a stand. This is my third greenscreen and by far my favorite. It’s easy to set up and put away.

CLIENT PRIVACY FOR TELEPRACTICE
I have double glass doors that have a gap between the doors and the floor. Here are three products I use to manage client privacy.
The door draft stopper, applied by velcro and fills the gap between my doors. My doors required 3 of these due to the tall height.
A vinyl door draft stopper was added to the bottom of the door, making a great barrier for sound.
Privacy glass film. Available in multiple sizes. Gives great privacy, is easy to apply, and can be removed without any damage.
